Position Title Adjunct Faculty - Stage Make Up
Position Description
Rider University’s Department of Performing Arts seeks an adjunct instructor to teach Stage Make Up for the Fall 2024 semester. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate performers and theatre designers/technicians in the foundations of theatrical stage make up, to include: Basic techniques of stage makeup design & application, including production of templates or plots; Contour/face shape change, Age Makeup, use of latex for basic special effects and wounds, fantasy and/or cosplay; Period/historical make up styles and execution. 
Position Requirements
  • BA, BFA, or MFA in Acting
  • Demonstrated advanced training and experience in described applications
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience
  • Demonstrated past experience teaching at an institution of higher education and/or professional setting(s)
  • Demonstrated extensive professional experience in the field.
  • Demonstrated experience with technical and cultural aspects of makeup/hair needs among BIPOC community is highly valued.
