JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A postdoctoral scholar position is available immediately in the laboratory of Hyun Jin Kwun, Ph.D. in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Penn State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. The lab’s areas of expertise include molecular, cancer virology and host-virus interactions in human cancer. The research projects will include characterization of virus and host factors involved in the mechanisms of Merkel cell polyomavirus replication and latency. Candidates will experience a dynamic virology and immunology research group, with a productive record of high quality publications and a strong history of achievement. The Penn State College of Medicine is located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, a family-oriented community with top-ranked public schools and convenient access to New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. A strong record of publications and research accomplishments with experience in the area of virology, cell biology and molecular biology is preferable. Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. degree in virology or related field and strong communication skills, and high motivation.
