Procurement & Business Services (P&BS) is the umbrella organization of three departments: Materials Support, Procurement Services and WolfCopy. Each department provides central office support services to the campus community.
Materials Support manages the disposition of university surplus property; provides leased warehouse storage space to campus departments; manages the ordering, delivery, deployment and retail billing for compressed gas cylinders; and manages Central Receiving operations.
Procurement Services, by delegated authority from the State of North Carolina, Division of Purchase and Contract, is responsible for the procurement of all goods and services not exceeding $500,000. The administrative function of the department is to ensure the use of proper and legal methods of procurement and to service the University by sourcing goods and services, managing supplier information, and processing payments in accordance with NC State University, UNC System and State of North Carolina statutes, regulations, policies and guidelines.
The WolfCopy program provides comprehensive managed print/copy/scan services and systems deploying and maintaining a network of secure multi-functional copiers, multi-functional printers, and wide format printers (plotters) for use by campus business offices and students.
Essential Job Duties
The Business Systems Analyst will provide financial data analysis, perform data manipulation and database cleansing. The individual in this position will research and document technical solutions to complex problems that meet departmental business needs, as well as work to continually understand and optimize university business practices with automation and robust reporting.
The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Planning and managing end-to-end test execution for business systems.
Creating test plans during upgrade and enhancement cycles.
Identifying the requirements, document functional test cases
Recruiting and instructing the test subjects
Completing the test plan reports in a timely manner
Working with the various program areas to collect and report data
Responding to end user system questions and requests for support.
Identifying and reporting system quality issues and escalate when necessary.
Isolating, replicating and reporting system defects
Testing and validating system enhancements and changes
Providing technical support to P&BS staff to include computing environment and hardware support
Supporting the P&BS modules within the ERP system
Serving as a backup to the other Business Systems Analyst on the team
Provide program support to meet organizational needs and deadlines.
Other duties as assigned.
Graduation from a four year college or university with a related degree to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institution.

Basic knowledge of Windows 10 OS.
2-5 years experience in a business systems analyst role.
Customer support experience using ServiceNow or other call tracking software.
Understanding and use of relational database concepts.
Experience in a Higher Education environment.
Experience in developing test scenarios to ensure quality production support.
Basic knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials.
Display initiative and be able to work independently.
Proven ability to present in an in person or virtual environment.
