This is a full-time position, working typically Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some evening and weekend hours required.

Position Information
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Two years’ experience in information technology, including but not limited to working with computer hardware, Windows operating systems, applications and peripherals.
A willingness to learn new areas of responsibility and the ability to research, analyze and recommend new and changing technology.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with higher education technology systems and with providing technology support to faculty and staff.
Experience in end user training, hardware and software helpdesk support.
Experience with audio visual and instructional technology hardware and software applications in a classroom environment.
Microsoft certifications and/or Apple Certified Mac Technician.
Experience with medical simulation technology and equipment.

Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Additional Qualifications
Position Purpose
Provide desk top and other technology support to the School of Nursing (SON) main campus and applicable satellite campuses. Provide technical troubleshooting, operating system changes and upgrades, and end user technical training. Research and advise on hardware and software purchases. Act as liaison with the University’s Technology Services, Classroom Support and Instructional Technical Services departments. Responsible for asset management of the School of Nursing hardware, software, peripheral and other computing devices, including medical simulation manikins. Conduct localized training to faculty and staff. Create and maintain documentation of business processes.
