Job Description


The individual in this position will be responsible for working with the PI and lab members to train animals in behavioral tasks. The individual will also be responsible for monitoring and ordering lab supplies. The position may also require the individual to assist in neurophysiology recording experiments and preparations for surgeries. 

Job Duties

  • Assists in training animals on a daily basis. 
  • Monitors lab supplies and assists with ordering as needed.
  • Prepares lab supplies for daily usage, including with the construction and sterilization of lab kits using in the daily experiments and in surgeries.
  • Assists with neurophysiology recording experiments.
  • Assists with database management.
  • Data from the behavioral training/testing and neurophysiology experiments will be used in manuscripts and grant applications. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One year of relevant experience.


  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Comfort working with large research animals.
