Job DescriptionThe University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, seeks Postdoctoral Fellows to work in the Department of Bioscience Research. We are looking for highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with strong enthusiasm in the field of cardiac biology and differentiation of iPSCs or mesenchymal stem cells towards cardiomyocytes or other lineages or organ-in-chip technology. The expertise in testing stem cells therapeutic potential using rodent disease model is highly desirable. Our team has developed robust methods of generation iPSCs from different cell types including noninvasive method of generating iPSCs from urinary epithelial cells. We also developed iPSC derived cardiomyocytes for drug screening disease modeling and cardiac and bone regenerative therapies.
Candidate should be self-motivated with a proven track record of productivity and strong interest in cardiac or oral tissue or bone regeneration. He/She should be able to demonstrate excellence in planning, executing and analyzing experiments. Meet routinely with the principal investigator (PI) to update the project status.
