Job DescriptionSummary of Position
Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Harish Vashisth in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). The positions are within the broad area of biomolecular modeling and simulation, where the dynamics and interactions in biomolecular systems are to be explored. The postdoctoral researcher(s) will be provided access to a state-of-the-art high-performance-computing facility with advanced GPU and data storage capabilities, and opportunities will be available for collaboration with other researchers as well as for professional development including presenting at national/international conferences and mentoring of junior researchers. The appointments are initially for one year with the possibility of renewal in subsequent years pending available funding, and progress as well productivity of the postdoctoral candidate(s). Typical projects in the laboratory are related to novel molecular dynamics simulation methodology development and applications to self-assembly phenomena in biomaterials, dynamics, and ligand interactions in protein and nucleic acid-based systems.
