Job Description

Summary

The Department of Human Resources, under the direction of the Learning & Development team is seeking a Learning Management System Administrator. This role will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the learning management system (LMS) through SuccessFactors. This position is also responsible for course creation, troubleshooting and reporting for all content within the LMS. The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly collaborative and motivated self-starter, with strong analytic and organizational skills.


The internal title is Senior Instructional Technology Associate; the external working title is Learning Management System Administrator.

 

This position is a hybrid remote position. The selected candidate is expected to work in the office two days a week and remotely three days a week.

 

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the management and maintenance of Baylor College of Medicine’s learning management system (LMS), to meet all regulatory compliance needs and learning plan goals.
  • Partners with key stakeholders in cross-functional areas to engage in troubleshooting activities related to course design, configuration, and/or infrastructure.
  • Creates and publishes learning content, manages ongoing system improvements, coordinates resolution of system issues and generates system and learning reports.
  • Ensures the security and data integrity of the LMS is in line with the College’s policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoots technical LMS issues, provides helpful resources related to training for the College’s students, faculty, and staff.
  • Creates/publishes/archives online/instructor-led courses, assigns training curricula, adds/deletes resources as needed.
  • Ensures effective configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the LMS and supporting tools; manages LMS functions and performs necessary updates.
  • Maintains the system’s data integrity through reports; manage the learning history and completions in the LMS.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.  Four years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement. 
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SuccessFactors Learning Management System.
