Job Description

Chatham University is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biochemistry for the 2023-24 academic year.

Primary responsibilities include:

Teaching general chemistry, biochemistry I & II, advanced biochemical techniques laboratory course, and other courses in the candidate's area of expertise that align with departmental teaching needs.
Develop and maintain an active research program that ideally incorporates undergraduate students.
Additional responsibilities include participation in university and department events, committees, and academic advising, as needed.

Qualifications:

Completion of a PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, or a closely related field is required. ABD-PhD candidates are encouraged to apply. Preference may be given to those individuals with college teaching and mentoring experience.
