We are seeking a Research Lab Tech with experience in cell culture procedures, particularly with immune cells ELISA and Western Blotting experience.  Would like someone with animal research experience, particularly with immunology-related research. The research tech will be responsible for overseeing the lab. The research tech will work with existing laboratory members under Dr. Handan Acar's direction. The research tech will work within our multi-disciplinary team. Other responsibilities will include communicating results to the scientific community through publications and presentations, and supervising students, clinical residents, and laboratory technicians. Weekly attendance and presentation of data at lab meeting is expected. Presentation of results for submission of manuscripts to international journals is expected for this position.



Our ideal candidate will have: *BS in biology related field or closely related discipline.   *Must show technical proficiency and have the ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary group. *Must have good record keeping skills *Must follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment *Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute in a multidisciplinary team setting are mandatory.

  • Must be able to perform basic data analysis

  • None



Advertised Physical Requirements:




  • Works under strict deadlines. Works with harsh chemicals in a research lab.



Departmental Preferences:




  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with cell culture procedures, particularly with immune cells

  • Elisa and Western Blotting experience

  • Animal research experience, particularly with immunology related research

  • 24 months Broad knowledge and experience in cell culture procedures
