Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain, mix, and blend paints and other coatings.
- Operate paint application equipment involving spray guns.
- Apply paint, varnish, shellac, and other desired coatings to wood, concrete, brick, metal, or other surfaces as directed.
- Read and comprehend blue prints, drawings, and sketches to insure proper specifications are followed.
- Operate, set up, and check power lift equipment.
- Move and erect ladders, scaffolds, and other painting platforms as required for the job; move furniture and office equipment.
- Repair all wall surfaces including drywall, plaster, radex, and vinyl; caulk and glaze windows as required.
- Apply wall paper and vinyl coverings.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of various job related chemicals, environmental concerns, building codes, and technological advancement/improvements.
- Clean and maintain all department equipment and tools as required; clean up worksites; report all damaged and missing equipment or tools to the supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
