Job Description

Argonne’s Transportation and Power Systems Division seeks applicants for a Technology Integration (TI) Project Manager to support the deployment of clean energy and transportation programs into communities across the nation, including various projects for the National Clean Cities network.

Facilitated by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s Technology Integration Program, Clean Cities includes nearly 100 U.S. coalitions working in their local communities to advance affordable, domestic transportation fuels, energy efficient mobility systems, and other fuel-saving technologies and practices.

The TI Project Manager will support the Clean Cities Energy and Environmental Justice Initiative (CCEEJI) and other technology integration programs for DOE focused on energy and mobility equity and environmental justice; diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM; and workforce development and education.

CCEEJI empowers Clean Cities coalitions to identify and engage with underserved and overburdened communities to foster community-centered programming and capacity building. The selected candidate will utilize their community relations skills and leverage Clean Cities coalitions to establish sustainable reciprocal partnerships with community hubs, groups, advocates, organizers, and leaders in support of CCEEJI and other TI programs.

Working closely with DOE sponsors and other stakeholders, the TI Project Manager will help craft and execute CCEEJI and other TI programs; create and support execution of training and workshops; design high-impact communication materials; support best practices in community engagement; support job advertisement marketing and recruitment; provide guidance to program participants in the area of energy and environmental justice; collect data and ensure the program meets sponsor milestones, budgets, and deadlines; and provide regular reports out to leadership and sponsors.

The preferred candidate will also conduct analysis on current/existing environmental justice data, maps, and reports to contribute toward the development of tools, resources and success metrics for CCEEJI and other equity-focused programming.
