Summary

The Senior Coordinator, Business Operations position within the Human Genome Sequencing Center (HGSC) will manage the day to day business operations of a department by performing and assisting with the implementation of financial, human resources, and grant related activities and programs. This role will perform and oversee the daily operation of the department, primarily in the areas of human resources, compliance, and financial management.

 

This position may offer the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. 

Job Duties

• Provides administrative support to senior faculty members and managers to ensure continuity of daily operations in the areas of human resources, compliance, and financial management.
• Manages all aspects of travel for HGSC center including departmental and institutional leave requests, registration, hotel, transportation, honorariums, and reimbursements.
• Manages and organize all aspects of the recruiting or visiting process for high profiled candidates or VIP guests.
• Prepares memos, general correspondence, graphs, and power point presentations.
• Prepares grant reports for multiple large-scale NIH projects.
• Approves monthly reconciliation reports for Fast card.
• Reviews and approve financial transaction including purchase orders, checks requests, cash request and travel reimbursements.
• Responsible for organizing, coordinating, and managing special events.
• Assists with grant preparations including pre and post-award for faculty members.
• Assists with recruitment processes and other human resources functions.
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with international travel coordination.
