Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Organizational Administration, Counseling, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of five years experience in developing student success programs, employer engagement programs, student retention initiatives, and utilizing successful career coaching techniques with students or clients.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with academic units, administration/executives and the employer community to achieve departmental and divisional goals.
Experience leading student engagement programs, professional development programs with key external stakeholders, and assessing overall impact of student success outcomes.
Leadership experience and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse student, faculty, staff, and industry specific population.
Demonstrated ability to utilize social media and technology platforms to promote success stories, engage with students and employer partners, and increase awareness about services and resources.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Ability to communicate effectively with others.


Desired Qualifications
Master’s Degree or equivalent industry experience and knowledge.

Position Purpose
Responsible for managing the Career Services team embedded in the School of Engineering and Computer Science (SECS). This position is dual reporting to the Dean of SECS and the Senior Director of Career Services in Student Affairs. Responsible for the overall administration, supervision of personnel and services, strategic planning, employer engagement programs, career readiness programs, tracking of student success outcomes and strategies related to the delivery of high-quality student support programs and recruitment services that connect students and graduates. Lead student success outcomes with organizations hiring for part-time jobs, internships, cooperative education and full-time professional employment. Maintain and develop relationships with local, regional, and national employers to develop recruiting strategies and partnership programs to benefit the career advancement of students and alumni.
