The research project aims at elucidating novel local electrochemistry in oxide cathodes. Experimental work involves the design of experimental setups and protocols of synchrotron X-ray microscopy to measure chemical evolution of cathode materials with high spatial and temporal resolution, and the analysis of large data sets using machine learning.

Position Requirements

  • Ph.D. degree in chemistry, materials science, engineering, or a related discipline with 0 to 3 years of experience or equivalent

  • Strong experimental and theoretical background in electrochemical science

  • Experience with the design of setups for operando experiments, where electrochemistry is occurring during measurements with a chemical probe (not limited to X-rays)
