Job Summary
Perform advanced accounting work as related to travel/expense reimbursements, various employee forms to include new hire, termination, rate increases, timekeeping for several large Auxiliary Departments and student billing for housing and meal plan billing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review and process eForms related to new hires, terminations, rate increases, and changes to positions.
Review and process employee time entry to include correct hours, overtime processing and vacation vouchers.
Review and process travel authorizations/expense reports. Includes review of expense reports for accuracy and compliance with university travel policies.
Prepare and process requisitions for Mav eShop and standard purchase orders. Review and process student contract files for completion for apartments, residence hall, and meal plans. Also includes initial billing, renewals, lease assumptions, and end of semester move-outs, and misc. charges.
Assist students and parents with billing questions.
Receive and complete forms that verify the student’s payment history while housed on campus and return forms to the off campus apartments, as well as for open records inquiries.
Perform accounting support tasks to include but not limited to assisting with a variety of reconciliations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Four (4) years of experience in governmental or commercial accounting at a level comparable to that of an Accounting Specialist or the equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using PeopleSoft and MS Excel.
Associates’ degree in Accounting.
