What You Will Achieve
As a member of the Pfizer team, your role will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing engineering projects and serve as liaison between site utility engineers, project engineers, project team and line management. In your role, you will review the status of projects and budgets;
manage schedules and prepares status reports. You and your team will assess project issues and
develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
As a Senior Manager, your advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts in the discipline and
comprehensive knowledge of other disciplines will enable you to lead complex projects across the division. Your ability to develop and manage plans will facilitate in achieving objectives, interpreting internal and external business challenges and recommending best practices for improvements. While managing complex project environments, you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and influence teams to achieve targets for the division. As a Senior Manager you are a Subject Matter Expert focused on providing leadership, guidance and technical and GMP compliance support to global plant operations with respect to Plant Utilities, Facilities, Building Control Systems and HVAC. Support the Net Zero Strategy, Energy Water and Climate Change Sustainability program.
Ensure compliance to regulatory norms, best practices and global policies and procedures.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Provide leadership and guidance in compliance and operational improvement support of Facilities and Utilities systems in all Pfizer manufacturing facilities. Work includes supporting Utilities Facilities design for aseptic, bio-tech, solid oral dose, liquids and API related project design, operational improvement and quality program teams and initiatives supporting all manufacturing sites globally in the PGS network.

  • Contribute to energy conservation & productivity improvements

  • Guide project and utility teams to resolve equipment / facility issues

  • Ensure that all safety instructions and measures are strictly observed

  • Translate team’s strategic objectives into operational plans and provide insight into
    operational feasibility of proposed strategies.

  • Develop and implement robust and comprehensive project execution plans for his/her
    project(s).

  • Working with Pfizer and contractor resources, create and maintain an integrated project
    schedule and resource demand throughout project.

  • Provide day to day leadership of project teams to ensure progression of critical path completion of all Pfizer and Contractor action items.

  • Communicate technical risks to key stakeholders at production sites and within central functions. 

  • Ensure resolution of project related issues and/or raise further discussion to the Project Steering Committee.

  • Manage key projects and initiatives based on supply network and site priorities and needs.

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to identify and implement improvements in the business practices/processes used in Global Technology and in particular on Project and Program management.

  • Communicate technical risks to key stakeholders at production sites and within central functions.

  • upto 30% of travel time within APAC region and to US for project meetings.

Qualifications 

Must-Have 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

  • 7+ years of utilities & facilities experience (black utilities & energy management)

  • Ability to inspect site utility equipment in mechanical spaces

  • Strong leadership and influencing capabilities at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven problem solving and project management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and achieve significant, complex goals and
    objectives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Excellent customer, stakeholder &
    customer relationship management.

  • Independent thinker with strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Experience on international assignments and demonstrated ability to navigate effectively in various cultures.

  • External influence in Industry, professional organizations, and regulatory agencies
    The ability to influence sites and Pfizer colleagues’ attitudes and behaviors pertaining to
    environmental sustainability and energy management practices.

 

Nice-to-Have 

  • Master’s degree

  • Expertise in GMP/non-GMP Utilities and Facilities related to pharmaceutical production a plus.

  • Proven team leader with a demonstrated ability to effectively implement business strategies and adept at working collaboratively within all levels of the organization.

  • Chartered member of professional institution.

  • PMP or similar project management certification.

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
