Title: Student Helper 

Division: Molecular Virology & Microbiology (80001007)  

Department: Molecular Virology & Microbiology - Britton (90007427) 

Location: Houston (1100) 

Salary Range: Up to $16 per hour 

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10 hours per week 

Employment Duration: Summer 

FLSA Status: Nonexempt 

Summary

Baylor College of Medicine's Department of Molecular Virology and Microbiology is seeking a Student Helper.

Job Duties

  • Tests and customizes bioinformatics tools and software for analyzing genomic and metabolomics data. 
  • Analyzes large genomic data and metabolomics data. 
  • Creates novel analytical tools as required by research goals. 
  • Designs and implements procedures for data management and sharing. 
  • Compiles appropriate biological data for statistical analysis, writes reports, and assists in publication of results.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.
