Job Description

Summary

The Finnell Lab in the Center for Precision Environmental Health is seeking a talented individual to join the team who is looking to gain biomedical research experience. The ideal candidate should have an interest in embryonic and neural development using genetic, live imaging, and synthetic embryology approaches in mice. 

 

Strong organizational skills and an eagerness to learn are essential for success in this role. Applicants with zebrafish experience are encouraged to apply, but we will provide training in necessary laboratory skills.  

Job Duties

  • Performs responsibilities which routine molecular biology.
  • Prepares experimental samples and reagents.
  • Performs staining protocols.
  • Collects microscopy/imaging data and analyzing the data under the supervision of senior lab members.
  • Gives 4Ls retrospective presentation at the end of the term.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with zebrafish.
