Job Description

Summary

The Department of Molecular and Human Genetics is seeking a Student Helper.

Job Duties

  • Performs research in a clinical and translational research laboratory.
  • Works with the PI and other members of the laboratory to develop dry bench skills in genomic data analysis, and wet bench skills in basic molecular biology techniques such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR).  
  • Leads a limited research project that requires development and implementation of the above-listed skills.
  • Observes other projects in the laboratory to learn how genomic science and genomic medicine can be implemented to better understand and treat rare disease.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.
