Summary

The CIBMTR Research Data Coordinator III will be responsible for managing the research data collection process for the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). They will work collaboratively with researchers, manager, and other team members to develop and implement data management plans and coordinate data management activities across multiple projects. The primary responsibilities include accurate and timely reporting of hematopoietic stem cell transplant and cellular therapy data to the CIBMTR registry. They must be detailed oriented, committed to high-quality data abstraction, and meet both quality and productivity standards. This role is vital for improving patient outcomes by data analysis.

Job Purpose

Coordinates day to day activities of research protocols which include screening, enrollment, and monitoring of research participants. Ensures accurate data collection, documentation, organization and safety of research participants. May supervise other research staff.

Job Duties

  •  Manages research data collection, storage, and retrieval processes, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the data.
  • Develops and maintains databases, spreadsheets, and other data management tools to support research projects. 
  • Meets individual and team target goals to remain compliant with Continuous Process Improvement (CPI).  
  • Monitors progress of protocols, consent forms, sponsor manuals and eligibility criteria to ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines.  
  • Supports research and data quality activities for the transplant program.  
  • Enters data and resolves queries in a timely manner.
  • Corresponds with research patients for long term follow up.  
  • Participates in data validation and data cleaning procedures.
  • Abstracts patient data, maintains records and regulatory documents for audits and research studies.
  • Provides reports to support physicians' data requests for research projects.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records like Epic, REDCap, eClinical, OnCore or FormsNet.  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
