Minimum Experience:
- Earned master’s degree in athletic training or related field from an accredited college or university by date of appointment.
- Three years of experience as a BOC-certified athletic trainer.
- Experience with administration or teaching in a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited athletic training program (professional or post-professional).
Preferred Experience:
- Academic doctoral degree in athletic training and/or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in Athletic Training Program Administration, such as Program Director or Coordinator of Clinical Education.
- Experience with clinical education.
- Experience and familiarity with CAATE standards and accreditation requirements.
- Teaching or clinical expertise in therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation, and urgent and emergent care.
- Effective administrative and communication skills.
- Experience in preparation of self-study and/or substantive change for CAATE accreditation.
- CAATE site visitor.
- Experience with Typhon or another tracking system to monitor clinical education and student progression.
- Licensed in the state of Indiana as an athletic trainer (or eligible for licensure)
