Job DescriptionThe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tennessee State University invites applications for a tenure-track, 9-month position for fall semester 2024. The department offers an accredited undergraduate program in Electrical and Computer Engineering, a graduate MS. in Computer Information Systems Engineering (CISE), and a Ph.D. program in Engineering and Computational Science (ENCS).
The faculty member is expected to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses and laboratories with integrated modern tools; attract and conduct funded research; support and guide graduate students theses and dissertations, and undergraduate students Capstone Design Projects; publish in journals and refereed proceedings; provide leadership on technical and professional committees; and pursue university and public service activities.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must have an earned Ph.D. in either Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related engineering areas and research expertise in some of the areas of analog electronics, digital electronics, microelectronics and digital circuit design and simulation, computer structure and operating systems, embedded systems, Edge computing, AI and machine learning, and Quantum technology.
