Job Description:

The Territory Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and tracking a strategy delivering patient referral business from the medical community. The Territory Manager is a clinical business leader who represents COH Chicago in the medical community, managing and nurturing relationships with targeted medical professionals in designated markets and with a goal of securing both episodic and comprehensive qualified patient referrals to COH. The position requires innovation to implement strategy and process flow, as well as implement relationship management and operational best practices. Excellent presentation, superior selling competencies, and relational skills are required.

Relationships will be built by conducting effective office visits, presentations, attending conferences, and facilitating hospital tours to educate referring and new physician partners on services offered at COH. The Physician Relations Territory Manager will be responsible for the strategic messaging and positioning of COH to each prospective referral group and to identify and report unmet needs and operational enhancement opportunities from the marketplace. This role will require significant amount of time in the designated market area(s)and will also identify and report unmet needs and operational enhancement opportunities from the marketplace.

Excellent strategic planning, organization, presentation, consultative selling skills and relational skills are required. Medical Device Oncology, pharmaceutical sales experience and experiences with Customer Relations Management (CRM) software is required. .

The fundamental measure of success for the Physician Relations Territory Manager is new patient growth and brand recognition.

  • Minimum of a BS/BA or work experience equivalent in Medical Sales, Marketing, Business, Public Relations or a related field required.
  • Must have a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in health care, preferably in sales, marketing or business development working with medical professionals. Sales background desired.
  • Experience with promoting an oncology or specialty disease state or service line.
  • Demonstrated computer skills are required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven track record of obtaining new business, successful relationship building and nurturing.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry required.
  • Documented sales success and other goal achievement.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative selling skills and team building capability.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to extract pertinent information from data sources.

Pay Range

$76,374.00 - $125,771.00

Placement within the identified pay range is based on individual and market factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, credentials (including licenses and certifications), geographic location, market competition, skill set (including market availability of required skills), assigned/anticipated job tasks, and level of responsibility. These factors are considered without regard to an individual’s status as a member of any protect group pursuant to federal, state, and/or local law.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $36.71 - $60.46 / hour
