Position Requirements
- Education & Expertise in inclusive practice
- graduate degree in special education, inclusive education or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based strategies to support with mild to severe disabilities in general education settings
- Demonstrated teaching experience in the educational setting supporting students with disabilities in the general education classroom
- Demonstrated knowledge of co-teaching practices and models
- Demonstrated ability to develop and support for inclusive and special education field sites as needed for course requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of current issues in special education and inclusive practice
- Availability to teach on campus, Monday and Wednesdays 1:10 to 2:40pm.
Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Experience as an instructor in higher education
- Experience teaching at the college level with teacher candidates
- Expertise in inclusive practice in elementary and secondary schools.
