Job Description

Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Coordinator, Materials Management. Successful candidates for this position will enjoy a job offering unique day-to-day activities. From tracking and receiving college shipments, to delivering packages, freight, equipment, and supplies throughout the Texas Medical Center, this position offers the opportunity to develop and refine skills in inventory management, logistics software, and fleet maintenance.

 

Work Hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Job Duties

  • Handles and maintains flow of material and products according to established guidelines. 
  • Delivers packages, freight, equipment, and furniture to appropriate Baylor departments.
  • Provides assistance to internal and external customers with item orders. 
  • Maintains inventory of products and packages.
  • Assists with vehicle maintenance. 
  • Tracks and documents the logistics of materials using computer software and scanners. 
  • Drives to different destinations to pick up or deliver packages. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • No experience required.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License; clean driving record; three years of driving history in the United States.
