Summary

The Scott Department of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, is seeking a student helper to support responsible administrative and research work. Student helper will support Dr. Khera's research mission and department to perform laboratory, field, computational work, and other such activities. This position is an outstanding opportunity for career development of students interested in research and/or future advanced degree training in the Urology field.

Job Duties

  • Under immediate supervision, follows established procedures in performing routine duties which may require some decision-making.
  • Provides office administrative support.
  • Provides research administrative or technical support.
  • Plans, directs, and conducts supervised research experiments.
  • Documents results of experiments and report to principal investigator (PI) and during lab meetings.
  • Oversees the maintenance of lab equipment, ordering, and the general lab environment.
  • Learns and becomes proficient with techniques related to animal and human research.
  • Assists PI with literature searches for manuscripts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.
