Position Description:

The Brandeis School of Law invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions for the Fall 2024 (August-December) and Spring 2025 (January-May) semesters. Review of applications will begin upon receipt and continue until positions are filled. Interested candidates should include in their application a resume or curriculum vitae and a cover letter or expression of interest that notes the subject area(s) the applicant is interested in teaching. Applications should be addressed to Professor JoAnne Sweeny, Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs. Official academic transcripts will be required of all successful applicants.

We are interested in hiring in a wide variety of areas, but have particular interest in the following courses:

  • Professional Responsibility
  • Mediation
  • Administrative Law
  • Trial Advocacy/Trial Practice

A J.D. degree and demonstrated expertise in the field are required. Prior teaching experience, particularly as an adjunct professor at a law school, is preferred, although it is not a requirement.
