ROLE SUMMARY

Medical Congress and Ad Board Innovation Lead is responsible for overseeing and executing key logistical deliverables for major medical congresses across various therapeutic areas as well as design and deploy an innovative Medical Affairs Ad Board Channel strategy across Pfizer Business Units. In this role, you will lead a team that will ensure that priority congress objectives are met, manage competing priorities, and provide oversight, attention to detail, and follow-through for congresses attended by key internal and external stakeholders. This role will closely collaborate with Medical Leads across priority brands and markets to achieve seamless coordination and execution.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic and subject matter leadership to TA/asset level teams in Medical Affairs, ensuring successful planning and execution of conferences and Ad Boards.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, commercial, and medical for understanding and meeting all congress and Ad Board opportunities and deadlines.
  • Collaborate and when appropriate, manage approved vendors to procure resources for congresses, ensuring quality and budgetary requirements are met.
  • Design and customize Medical Affairs booths at congresses, including innovative presentations and materials, including interactive medical affair solutions
  • Collect and share key insights to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Manage approved vendors and oversee on-site activities at select congresses to ensure flawless execution.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technology to enhance collaboration, streamline processes, and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan for congresses, aligning with stakeholders for effective messaging and collection of achievement and learnings.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging innovations in congresses.
  • Act as a lead to help design, implement, and deploy a single AdBoard Tool kit and insight capture across Medical Affairs
  • Foster a culture of innovation, sharing best practices and driving continuous improvement across congresses and advisory boards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Business operations, or related field: an MBA with 8 years of relevant medical experience, PhD/PharmD with 6 years of experience, or an MD with 3 years of experience.
  • >5 years of experience in managing medical congresses and ad boards
  • Proven track record in overseeing teams and designing strategies to enhance engagement with Healthcare Professionals and congresses and ad boards
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, data privacy, and industry standards related to role
  • Demonstrate ability to -
    • Drive transformational change
    • Lead teams and engage diverse stakeholders
    • Understand the applications of technology to the Life Science sector

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree (MBA or similar) in Marketing, Digital Communications, or Life Sciences.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital analytics tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry trends for congresses and advisory boards operations

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
