Job Description Summary:

With supervision, will perform general administrative duties and/or research functions for the purpose of developing a working knowledge of a specific area of study.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1) Provides transfer exploration and university application related services with specialized strategies to help students, alumni, and entering student applicants select a career and/or an academic pathway and implement a plan to achieve their identified goals including graduation and transfer. Services are delivered in-person or virtually to individuals or groups.
2) Assists students with preparation for, and execution of, university transfer.

3) Maintains expertise regarding course and ACC program/credential transferability, transfer resources, special initiatives, and relevant student and academic services in order to support students, alumni, prospective students, faculty, and staff to make informed decisions regarding transfer pathways and corresponding educational options.

4) Support the overall mission, functions, and activities of the Transfer Services department.

5) Support Transfer Services Department with implementation of summer events, including marketing, outreach, and evaluation.

6) Review transfer resources available to students. Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement and evolution of resources to best support transfer-intending students.

7) Support Transfer Reports and Outreach Coordinator and Transfer Services Manager by participating in the development and implementation of marketing, communication, and advertising strategies to promote assigned programs, projects, and services. Under the guidance of the Transfer Services Director, ensures district-wide consistency of front-line transfer services communications. 8) Develop understanding of community college policy and procedures through attending cross-departmental meetings, reviewing institution websites, and completing institution training and onboarding.

Physical Requirements
  • Work is routinely performed in an office environment.
  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling.
