Job Description

COMIRNATY (Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine) has been delivered over 180 countries across multiple age groups since Dec 2020, with more formulations expected. The rapidly evolving post-pandemic market and vaccine technology innovation results in a complex external environment. A major priority for Global COMIRNATY is the continued translation of frequent and complex external information into actionable cross-functional strategy.

The Global Marketing Director, COMIRNATY will lead the refinement and execution of COMIRNATY's global brand plan and strategy across key countries, collaborating closely with the Global Adult Vaccines Marketing, Medical, US Commercial Team, IDM/EM Commercial Offices, and respective parties, to bring HCP engagement strategy and tactical plan and drive market uptake.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the advancement of COMIRNATY brand plan with focus on HCP engagement strategy and bringing tactical plan to drive uptake in collaboration with Medical and Global Adult Vaccines HCP & Consumer Marketers counterparts.
  • Collaborate with US COMIRNATY Team, and IDM/EM COs, fostering strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Lead efforts to maintain leadership position across HCP / Consumer stakeholders with clear clinical and technical differentiation.
  • Ensure seamless alignment with the Global Combo/Influenza Team, facilitating clear product differentiation, and swift market uptake.
  • Provide strategic insights into the COMIRNATY value proposition and enhancements, strategically tailored in the endemic COVID-19 phase.
  • Be a member of Global Comirnaty Commercial team- owning brand strategy and value with future lifecycle,

Cross-functional Leadership:

  • Lead/ Collaborate COMIRNATY HCP engagement Strategy and tactical plan teams, coordinating cross-functional activities.
  • Ensure close collaboration and strategic alignment with medical, GAV, pricing/tendering, communications, and public affairs teams.
  • Lead GLocal collaboration efforts within the new organization.
  • Manage the global community of practice for COMIRNATY HCP Strategy, facilitating knowledge exchange among stakeholders.
  • Provide commercial oversight on interdependencies across functions.
  • Follow up on Key metrics/best practices- to bring insights from Countries.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA or BS degree required. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years experience
  • Prior pharma experience in the vaccine business is preferred
  • Previous experience with US, global, and/or regional product management is preferred.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of global and local marketing principles
  • Experience and exceptional skills in managing strategic cross-functional processes
  • Experience in delivering OP plan, LRF, financial milestones for a product or product group is preferred
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, and complex “white space” environments
  • Be an active contributor to create and operate in an environment that continuously embraces and encourages the implementation of innovative ideas and fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork

Understands the drug development process. Uses knowledge of industry and market trends to develop strategies and to quantify business ideas
  • Research & Analytics: Demonstrates understanding of analytic tool/methods, ability to generate strong customer insights and market intelligence. Effectively links insights to implications to inform strategy, planning and execution

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
