The candidate will have a strong expertise in embedded systems design and development domain with deep experience of working with various IPs like Timers, Watchdog, UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, Storage devices, boot flows etc. The candidate will join the embedded software team which enables different operating systems (Linux and other RTOSes and bootloaders) on FPGA/Hard Processor Systems considering of quad ARM cores. A regular day in the job will involve analyzing/debugging of the system issues, implementing new features in Linux/u-boot (sometimes across RTOSes), testing the features from the customer's perspective, understanding the data sheets, schematics, hardware and firmware specifications and presenting status in a coherent manner to the managers and stakeholders.

In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

Qualifications

Experience:

5- 10 years of experience

Qualification: Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Sc. Engineering

Skill Set:

  • Excellent programming skills (C, C++) using software-firmware-hardware codesign methodologies.
  • Excellent Design, Coding Skills using complex data structure and algorithms.
  • Proven experience in implementing Linux device drivers and subsystems like ethernet, USB, TSN, Storage devices, TCP/IP etc. on ARM cores, porting the new operating systems on Arm based platforms.
  • Experience in ARM Trusted Firmware, u-boot including HW configuration, state machine design with timing constraints.
  • Proficiency in various hardware debugging tools, methodologies using pre-Silicon Emulator and post Silicon boards to analyze issues hiding in hardware-software boundaries.
  • Experience of working with FPGAs will be a big plus.
  • Experience of successfully upstreaming the features to an open source community will be a big plus.
  • A good team player with excellent communication skills.
