Pharmacy Technician III

A California registered technician who under the supervision of a Pharmacist will support the auditing activities required for the control of the Investigational Drug inventory. Activities will include monthly inventory audits, ordering drug supplies, receipt of drug shipments and the preparation and distribution of drug shipments to satellite facilities. Candidate will maintain all aspects of inventory records and meet with study sponsors to ensure all regulations are being met and followed.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Ensures efficient and productive operation of assigned work location.
- Performs technician functions accurately and thoroughly.
- Acts as a liaison with nursing and medical staff concerning basic pharmaceutical information to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Assists the pharmacist in billing pharmaceuticals.
- Communicates effectively with all levels of staff. Fosters the development of teamwork within the department while meeting the needs of departments being served.
- Demonstrates the ability to assess a situation, consider the alternatives and choose an appropriate course of action.
- Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
- Completes written documentation.
- Performs advanced prescription preparation.
- Conducts quality assurance audits.
Your qualifications should include:
- High School or equivalent or Post High School vocational/specialized training or Graduation from a foreign school of Pharmacy
- 6 years performing related duties as a pharmacy technician
- Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician with the California State Board of Pharmacy.
AND
Certified Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Additional Information:
- Hourly Per Diem Rate: $37.16

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $27.35 - $41.03 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
