Medical Laboratory Technician - Clinical Research

We are looking for a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support our Duarte Campus laboratory operations. Under the supervision of licensed professionals, the MLT performs and evaluates waived and moderately complex lab procedures in compliance with CLIA and California state regulations. This position requires accuracy, efficiency, and strong technical abilities, along with a focus on excellent customer service and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing work environment.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Perform accurate laboratory testing by conducting waived and moderately complex procedures, evaluating specimen quality, and ensuring reliable patient results.
  • Maintain lab equipment and inventory through proper operation, daily maintenance, and management of reagents and supplies to avoid service disruptions.
  • Ensure quality and compliance by following QA/QC protocols, supporting audits, and meeting all regulatory requirements including CAP, CLIA, and CALOSHA.
  • Support workflow efficiency by staying cross-trained, adapting to changing workloads, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through participation in SOP development, instrument validation, and process optimization.
  • Deliver patient-centered service by communicating clearly, acting with professionalism, and supporting a positive and compassionate care experience.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Associate degree or 60 semester or equivalent quarter units of specified course work and 6 months of clinical training. Completion of an accredited program for Medical Laboratory Technician.
  • Two years of laboratory testing experience
  • California Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) license required.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $26.81 - $41.55 / hour
