Job Summary:
** This is an internal job posting intended for current TCU employees only. **

The Learning Center Resource Coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities and maintaining resources for the Health Professions Learning Center (HPLC). This includes, but is not limited to: managing the standardized patient/participant (SP) program; scheduling of activities; procurement, organization and distribution of supplies and equipment; and promoting the HPLC through various initiatives such as tours.



Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Oversees the planning, implementing, integrating, and evaluating of all HPLC activities.
2. Collaborates with course coordinators and faculty to support student learning and faculty teaching in the HPLC. Works with faculty to train student researchers in specific laboratory functions as needed.
3. Develops, implements, evaluates, and maintains proper posting and communication of procedures to ensure safety in the HPLC.
4. Coordinates recruitment and orientation of standardized patients/participants (SPs) based on role needed for simulation scenario. Collaborates with faculty members to train and prepare SPs for simulation scenarios. Assists SPs with any questions about the program.
5. Contributes to evaluation process of Standardized Patients and maintains related records of evaluations.
6. Oversees the scheduling and payment processes of Standardized Patients program. Ensures the proper paperwork is processed and submitted.
7. Maintains the Standardized Patients program manual and revises policies and procedures as needed.
8. Procures consumable supplies and designated equipment from vendors using established procedures, requesting appropriate approvals, and reporting discrepancies and/or quality issues.
9. Manages inventory database system for consumable supplies (stock and asset stock) and designated types of equipment (assets); including, but not limited to, verification of current quantities, generating reports, maintaining records of cost, service and other pertinent data.
10. Oversees the collection and disposal of bio-hazardous waste materials according to safety guidelines and coordinates laundry services to ensure a safe and clean lab environment.
11. Creates reports as requested to articulate HPLC activities and advocate for resources.
12. Promotes HPLC activities to constituent audiences, including tours of HPLC.
13. Maintains safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
14. Performs other related duties as assigned.



Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Two or more years of administrative experience in an education, laboratory, nursing, or related environment
