Summary
The Department of Medicine is seeking an Intern/Aide.
Job Purpose
Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.
Job Duties
- Studies patient recruitment: chart reviews, patient screening, educates patients about studies, consents patients to studies.
- Manages data collection (surveys, interviews), entry, and storage. Additionally, the candidate is encouraged to take a more active role in research project discussion, planning, data recording, and presentation. If time allows and there is interest, he/she can become involved in: literature reviews, qualitative research - by conducting, transcribing, and analyzing qualitative interview.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education.
