Responsible and accountable for coordinating nursing care for optimum patient outcomes. Plans, directs and evaluates overall nursing care in the inpatient unit. Coordinates the activities in the department and makes staffing assignments. Monitors and educates the nursing staff. Responds to emergency situations as necessary. Accountable for practicing within the defined scope of practice for the Registered Nurse, Commits to providing safe, quality nursing care.

The successful candidate:

  • Must be able to work FT Monday thru Friday 8:00a-4:30p

  • Communicate and reinforce the CoH mission to staff, ensuring it guides daily operations and decision-making

  • Prioritize departmental work to balance short- and long-term goals, quality care, and patient satisfaction

  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to support CoH objectives and optimal patient outcomes

  • Identify patient care and staffing needs; set priorities and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams

  • Advocate for patients and evaluate care measures to ensure safe, effective, and timely treatment

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate therapeutic interventions; document care provided

  • Supervise and delegate care appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff

  • Assist with staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of care

  • Establish goals, anticipate challenges, and implement proactive solutions

  • Lead nursing performance improvement initiatives and maintain required clinical metrics

  • Address performance and behavioral issues promptly and professionally

  • Serve as a clinical resource and demonstrate validated clinical competencies

  • Recognize emergency situations and independently initiate appropriate actions

  • Apply strong clinical judgment to support staff decision-making in complex situations

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Current Georgia RN license from an accredited college

  • BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date

  • BLS (Obtain AHA certification within 30 days of hire)

City of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $34.17 - $56.29 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
