Job Description

The Division of Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation & Cellular Therapy (BMT/CT), University of Minnesota Medical School, is seeking a research scientist with training and experience in blood and marrow transplantation and cellular therapy. The Division invites applications for an academic track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in human immunology and molecular biology with expertise in the generation, expansion, phenotyping and cytolytic immunologic assessment, single cell RNA-seq and in vivo testing of human induced and thymus-derived regulatory T cells. This position will help to further develop our BMT/CT Program’s basic/translational research programs to funnel new ideas from bench to bedside.

Qualifications
• PhD
• Extensive training and experience in in vitro and in vivo preclinical small animal models of blood and marrow transplantation and cellular therapy
• Extensive experience with multi-omics characterization of human regulatory T cell subsets including high dimentional spectral flow cytometry and single cell RNA-seq
Expertise in genome modification of human regulatory T cells to improve their function

The Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (BMT/CT) Program at the University of Minnesota has been at the forefront of advances since performing the world’s first successful BMT in 1968. Since then, our teams have performed more than 12,000 BMTs. Our Program continues development in translational immunology, BMT and cellular therapy, and expand its portfolio of novel clinical trials.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $185,000-$214,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment
