Posting TextDakota State University is accepting applications for a 9-month, instructor position in education. The position may include teaching courses in general education, reading pedagogy, language arts pedagogy, and special education. The start date of this position is Fall 2026.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in education or a related field.
K-12 teaching experience
Ability to teach undergraduate students.
Effective written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
Must be authorized to work in the US. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Desired Qualifications:
Teaching with technology.
Documented expertise in the Science of Reading, such as LETRS trained, AIM Training, and/or leadership in implementation of Science of Reading aligned curriculum.
Experience supporting or leading professional development in K-12 schools.
Responsibilities:
Teaching undergraduate education courses primarily related to literacy education and the Science of Reading.
Supporting the implementation of a pilot program that supports schools in developing and implementing a Science of Reading aligned literacy plan.
Additional duties may include assisting with recruitment activities, supervising field experiences, and/or engaging in ongoing assessment.
