Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
Undergraduate Education and Faculty Affairs works with various units on campus to enhance the undergraduate educational experience and provide opportunities and support for undergraduate scholarship both inside and outside the classroom. Offices supported by Undergraduate Education and Faculty Affairs work at the transition from the high school to college experience, provide a broad based general education program extending throughout a student’s time at UNCW, provide targeted support for applied learning opportunities and enhancement of the undergraduate experience and promote best teaching practices. The Office of the Associate Provost of Undergraduate Education and Faculty Affairs supports: University Studies, Undergraduate Education, General Education Assessment, Applied Learning and High Impact Practices,, Honors College, CSURF (Center for the Support of Undergraduate Research and Fellowship), Undergraduate Catalogue, Faculty Affairs, Faculty Senate Support, Academic Affairs Personnel Administration and Community-Based Learning and Scholarship.

Undergraduate Education and Faculty Affairs supports faculty development, retention, mentoring and coordinates the new program development process for undergraduate programs.
Faculty reappointment, promotion, and tenure
Post-tenure review
Institutional-level faculty recognitions and awards
Academic and faculty-related policy development and maintenance
Liaison to faculty senate committees
Oversight of institute-level curricular approval processes
Facilitates the university’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)

Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Business Services Coordinator reports to the Associate Provost of Undergraduate Education and Faculty Affairs. The Business Services Coordinator processes and coordinates both fiscal and administrative functions for all departments in Undergraduate Education and Faculty Affairs along side of the other Business Services Coordinator in Undergraduate Education and Faculty Affairs.

This work includes budget management, processing financial transactions, reconciliation of financial data, purchasing, travel processing, cash receipting, hiring students and processing payroll actions along with other assigned duties as needed. This position works closely with the Undergraduate Education & Faculty Affairs Business Services Coordinator, the Business Officer in Academic Affairs Resource Administration and Business Affairs to make sure all policies and procedures are followed while timelines and deadlines are met.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred education, professional skills and experience
Experience with Banner Finance, Banner HR
Experience with Purchasing
Experience with Travel processing
Experience as well as familiarity with UNCW policies and processes
Familiarity with state funding
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
