Job Description

Summary

The Intern/Aide position is designed for undergraduate students interested in the lab's mission: developing integrative bioinformatics approaches to translate omics data into biological insights,with a focus on computational proteomics, cancer proteogenomics, and data democratization.

The work schedule will be Monday - Friday, no more than 18 hours per week.

Job Duties

  • Performs data preprocessing, quality control, and basic statistical analyses under supervision.
  • Assists with analysis of multi-omics datasets (RNA, protein, PTMs) to identify patterns associatedwith tumor biology.
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets experimental data using specialized software.
  • Maintains accurate laboratory records and documentation.
  • Collaborates with laboratory members through routine daily interactions.
  • Presents research progress and findings during formal group meetings.
  • Follows established laboratory safety protocols and research guidelines.
  • Assists with special projects/programs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program.
  • Interest in informatics.
