Job Description
Summary
The Intern/Aide position is designed for undergraduate students interested in the lab's mission: developing integrative bioinformatics approaches to translate omics data into biological insights,with a focus on computational proteomics, cancer proteogenomics, and data democratization.
The work schedule will be Monday - Friday, no more than 18 hours per week.
Job Duties
- Performs data preprocessing, quality control, and basic statistical analyses under supervision.
- Assists with analysis of multi-omics datasets (RNA, protein, PTMs) to identify patterns associatedwith tumor biology.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets experimental data using specialized software.
- Maintains accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Collaborates with laboratory members through routine daily interactions.
- Presents research progress and findings during formal group meetings.
- Follows established laboratory safety protocols and research guidelines.
- Assists with special projects/programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program.
- Interest in informatics.
