What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking an experienced UI Developer to join a creative team passionate about developing next generation systems. We enjoy innovating and collaborating in an engaging learning

environment to architect, design, develop, test, and deploy sophisticated software for complex, real-time decision support systems. We work in geophysical and space system data processing and exploitation pathfinders that leverage SNL's exquisite real-time ground processing expertise and analytics capabilities to deliver innovative solutions for our space mission.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

¿ Work from developed requirements, specifications, and architectural design for the new system

¿ Design new user interfaces as part of a larger system integrated with a database

¿ Apply strong understanding of web development technologies and frameworks

¿ Collaborate with other development teams regarding integration with the larger system

¿ Provide mentorship to development teams; working closely with development teams to iterate on software designs

¿ Demonstrate dedication to deliver and persistence to resolve issues

¿ Travel occasionally to customer sites

Salary Range:

$102,400 - $199,700

Qualifications We Require:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with UI/UX development.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with React.
• Experience in technical leadership as a lead developer, technical team lead, architect or other similar role.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.

Qualifications We Desire:

• Proven experience working on large-scale software systems.
• Kubernetes & Docker; Gitlab & Gradle.
• Experience modeling in UML, distributed system design, and large-scale system design.
• Interest in contributing to an architecture role focused on specifying high-level designs for system features, software frameworks & infrastructure, deployment platform, development tooling, etc.
• Familiarity with: service-based architectures (e.g. SOA, microservices); inter-process communication patterns, techniques and technologies; data storage architectures (relational, non-relational - e.g. document, wide-column); fault tolerance and system scaling concepts and techniques.
