Launch your nursing career at H60, a brand-new 50-bed unit that will become an integral part of Cleveland Clinic Main Campus’ emerging trauma program. As a New Grad RN Resident,you’llhave the unique opportunity to grow your nursing skills alongside a team that is building something from the ground up. The unit will initially care for a medical-surgical patient population, providinga strong foundationin acute care before transitioning into its long-term role as a dedicated Trauma Acute Care Unit.

A caregiver in this position works a day/night rotation from 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.and 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday requirement.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
Provide direct nursing care alongside asuccesscoach.
Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patientpreferenceand resource availability).
Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
Seek supervision,consultationandassistancewhen unable to perform safely and independently.
Documentinpatients’ medical records.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professionalNursing(Diploma,ADNor BSN)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross
New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include
Bachelor’sofScience inNursing (BSN)
Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $35.50
Maximum hourly: $55.60
