We are looking for great talent to accelerate this journey so if you are interested in joining our leading organization then we want to hear from you.In this role, the Senior Firmware Engineer will be part of team contributing to Silicon Photonics Solution Group's mission to transform and lead datacenter connectivity and enable Intel's differentiation in the networking space. The individual will be lead or is a member of firmware development team involved in firmware development, with responsibility for architecting and implementing firmware for real time systems.
You will quickly ramp on the existing flow, understand the challenges, and produce the work plan. Your expertise in firmware development, and teamwork skills will be highly leveraged to guide activity across the entire cross-discipline, multi-site team.
Qualifications
1. Design and develop embedded firmware for microcontroller/processor-based opto-electronic products.2. Scope, schedule and risk management of the entire firmware product development cycle.
3. Define and implement high performance software by leveraging a strong understanding of embedded hardware design.
4. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
5. Review product documentation for accuracy including documentation intended for customer use.
6. Evaluate product non-conformances and recommend design modifications.
7. Develop, communicate and document project strategies and plans.
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
1. 10+ Years of relevant experience
2. Extensive experience in assembly and C programming
3. Extensive experience in Python programming
4. Excellent debugging skills
5. Strong problem-solving skills
6. Extensive experience in implementation and testing of real time systems
7. Good knowledge of hardware, hardware interfaces, security and boot flow
8. Strong communication and project management skills
9. Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
10. Experience with digital and Analog Hardware
11. Knowledge and experience with scripting (Skill, Perl) a plus
12. Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written
13. Possess strong technical and analytical background
