As part of the System Debugger Development team, you will develop and maintain tools used by other developers to debug the firmware and low-level software running on upcoming Intel processors (real silicon as well as simulation environments). Hence, you will have a direct glimpse into the future of computing on Intel architectures. You will be part of a highly-motivated, diverse and agile team working with modern software development tools and practices.
This is a maternity cover, 6 months fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the creation, implementation, and optimization of software tools in support of various domains including design, manufacturing, validation, silicon production, systems integration, software application products, or ecosystem enabling
Utilize modern software development methodologies, programming languages, domain knowledge, and secure coding practices to design, develop, debug, and/or validate algorithms, software tools, and systems that enable our internal/external engineering partners to design/manufacture intel silicon, integrate Intel silicon and/or software into impactful products
Examples of tools/systems include debuggers, analyzers, SDKs, IDEs, PDKs, performance monitors, software tools and libraries, flows, and/or methodologies for design, manufacturing, validation, and test.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Software development experience in C++
Knowledge of embedded systems and modern hardware architectures
Knowledge of modern version control systems like Git
Basic scripting skills (Python, POSIX shell)
QA and CI process knowledge (e.g. Jenkins)
Proven track record of working in Agile teams
Solid analytical thinking
Very good English skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Windows OS knowledge (including OS internals)
Experience in toolchain (e.g. compiler) development
